Status: Planned

This hands-on training introduces the Belbin model, a practical framework identifying nine team roles based on behaviour. Participants will use the official Belbin self-perception tests and analyse the detailed official reports to understand their own strengths and those of others.

Designed for current school leaders, managers, team coordinators, and aspiring leaders, the course combines interactive sessions, real-world examples, and group reflections. Participants will explore team dynamics, assess their teams’ balance, and enhance collaboration and decision-making.

By the end, they will confidently apply Belbin principles to build teams with complementary strengths, foster clear communication, and promote inclusion and productivity in educational settings.

Primary objectives:

  • Understand the 9 Belbin Team Roles and their behavioural characteristics.
  • Take the official Belbin test and interpret personal role profiles.
  • Create and manage balanced teams to enhance effectiveness and collaboration.

Secondary objectives:

  • Analyse existing team compositions and identify missing or overrepresented roles.
  • Develop assertive communication and leadership strategies using Belbin insights.

This course fosters inclusive leadership through practical tools and reflective analysis. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of group dynamics, strengthen their leadership identity, and be better prepared to guide diverse teams in educational environments.

Our courses are highly practical and participatory. We believe that meaningful professional development happens when educators are actively involved, reflect on real cases, and collaborate with peers.
