Equity, inclusion and student well-being are key challenges across Europe, as highlighted by recent TALLIS publications. This course provides a powerful combination of theory, real-life case studies, and hands-on tools (interactive rubric to evaluate equity & sociograms) to help educators foster equity, promote inclusion, and ensure the well-being of all learners.

We will begin by unpacking the concept of equity, exploring its multiple dimensions and how to assess it within your context. You will then work with the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to remove barriers and implement effective inclusive practices.
You will learn how to measure social cohesion and student well-being using tools such as sociograms, and how to implement universal measures to foster participation and progress for all.
The course also includes a strong collaborative component: educators will share and reflect on their own practices to create more equitable and inclusive learning environments.

Our courses are highly practical and participatory. We believe that meaningful professional development happens when educators are actively involved, reflect on real cases, and collaborate with peers.
Structure and Schedule
Each course includes 25 hours of training distributed as follows:
– 20 hours of face-to-face sessions, from Monday to Friday from 3.30 PM to 7.30PM, in real education settings.
– 5 hours of independent learning, completed from home before, during, or after the course. These hours are dedicated to reflection tasks, readings, or optional challenges to deepen the learning experience.
Assessment
– There is no final exam.
– We apply continuous, formative assessment, based on daily participation in tasks and activities.
– Trainers provide feedback throughout the course to ensure everyone progresses meaningfully.
Learning Platform
All materials, resources, and complementary activities will be available through our virtual learning platform (Moodle). Participants will have access to all content, which will remain open for consultation and download.

Participants will engage with a variety of interactive and practical tools, including:
– An interactive equity rubric to assess your educational context
– A sociogram tool with official templates and report formats
– Case studies, scenario-based learning, and self-assessment tools to foster analytical thinking and strategic decision-making
– Interactive presentations, videos, and real-world examples to support understanding and transfer to participants’ professional contexts
